About

Equipping communities and leaders to navigate the climate future

About me

I’ve been passionate about communication and learning since childhood. Enrolled in a speaking school at the age of six, I discovered early on the power of words to inspire, connect, and drive action. That foundation grew into a lifelong commitment: helping people and organisations navigate change through clear, practical, and engaging learning experiences.

Over the years, I’ve guided businesses and communities through significant shifts—from building digital literacy for the future of work to, more recently, advancing climate literacy to help individuals and organisations make informed, science-based decisions in a rapidly changing world.

Through FutureClimate IQ, I translate authoritative climate science, observations and forecasts into practical climate risk intelligence for decision-makers, communities and organisations. By synthesising publicly available information from leading institutions and combining it with interactive learning tools such as the EN-ROADS climate simulator, I help people understand not only what the science says, but what it means for the decisions they need to make.

These workshops move beyond theory by allowing participants to test policies, see outcomes, and uncover what truly drives effective mitigation and adaptation. I’ve facilitated simulations for research fellows, policymakers, media organisations, municipalities, and concerned communities. Highlights include presenting at the Garden Route Municipality Climate Indabas, leading a workshop for the ARUA Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Food Systems, and supporting organisations working on climate resilience.

At the heart of my work are two core skill sets:

Speaking & Facilitation – creating engaging spaces where people feel both challenged and inspired to act.

Consulting & Capacity Buildingsynthesising authoritative climate information into practical risk intelligence while helping teams and organisations develop the climate literacy and decision-making skills they need to adapt in a changing world.

And the impact speaks for itself:

Peter is a skilled speaker who enabled the group to experience deep insights about climate in a fun and engaging way… I was impressed by how he drew each individual in and kept the discussion moving.” – Jennifer

The ability to manipulate the En-ROADS simulator was truly eye-opening… Peter also did a great job of engaging both the ‘head’ and the ‘heart.’" – Megan

Whether you’re a policymaker, business leader, or community organiser, I’d love to help you and your team build the skills to navigate the future with confidence.
